Dr. Amy Jelinek DPM, CWS

Dr. Jelinek has completed a three year Podiatric Medical and Surgical Residency at the North Chicago VA/ St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago Illinois.  According to the American Podiatric Medical survey, only 17% of Podiatric Physicians have completed a three year residency, with the remaining percent completing 2 years or less.  She is also a Board Qualified Podiatric Surgeon by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.  Dr. Jelinek is extensively surgically trained in Diabetic wound care, bunion surgery, flatfoot reconstruction and trauma.  She is also ankle arthroscope certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Jelinek is a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Academy of Wound Management.  She is happy to accept Medicare patients, and is in the process of enrolling in the Medicare diabetic shoe program.  She will be able to provide diabetic patients, who qualify, with Medicare covered diabetic shoes.
